Liquid Analysis
Endress+Hauser’s liquid analysis portfolio spans inline sensors, panel/cabinet analyzers, handhelds, and samplers, all built on two common backbones: Memosens digital sensors and Liquiline multiparameter transmitters. This architecture standardizes wiring, hot‑swap sensor exchange and communications (4–20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS, Modbus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, web server), easing design and lifecycle support across plants.
Core electrochemistry covers pH/ORP and conductivity. Memosens pH probes such as CPS11E store calibration/process history and allow lab calibration with moisture‑immune inductive coupling. Conductivity options include contacting (Condumax CLS15 series) for pure water/CIP and inductive (Indumax CLS50D) for dirty, chemically aggressive media across wide ranges.
Process oxygen, turbidity, and sludge level are addressed with optical and ultrasonic devices. Oxymax COS61D (optical DO) minimizes drift and maintenance for aeration and utilities. Turbimax CUS51D covers turbidity and suspended solids across wastewater and process water. Turbimax CUS71D uses ultrasound to track sludge blankets and interfaces in clarifiers for responsive control.
For disinfection, amperometric sensors measure free chlorine (Memosens CCS51 series) and chlorine dioxide (Memosens CCS50 series) in Flowfit flow assemblies that can also house pH/ORP for compensation. These deliver fast response at low residuals for safe drinking/process water while helping avoid overdosing and corrosion.
Nutrient monitoring combines wet‑chemical analyzers and reagent‑free optics. Liquiline System CA80 analyzers cover ammonium, orthophosphate, and total nitrogen with automatic cleaning/calibration, remote diagnostics, and the option to plug in up to four Memosens sensors for a complete station. For continuous NO₃‑N or SAC, Viomax CAS51D provides chemical‑free optical measurement.
Sum‑parameter analytics enable compliance and process control. High‑temperature TOC analyzers (CA72TOC) capture product loss and organic load even with fats/fibers; low‑range TOC (CA78) suits ultrapure water in power and life sciences. COD is handled by Liquiline System CA80COD for true online dichromate measurement; the TOC/COD/SAC overview summarizes the portfolio and use cases for inlet/outlet monitoring.
Inline optical and acoustic tools expand beyond classical wet chemistry. UV/VIS/NIR process photometers (e.g., OUSAF44, OUSAF12) quantify concentration, color, turbidity, and phase changes for chromatography, filtration, condensate leaks, and heat‑exchanger breakthrough. Teqwave ultrasonic concentration meters (F/H/I/T) deliver in‑situ concentration for blends and skids; Teqwave MW 300 applies microwave transmission to read total solids in sludge.
Around the point of measurement, Liquiline CM44x transmitters auto‑recognize Memosens sensors, add math/logic/I/O for dosing and cleaning control, and expose diagnostics locally or via Ethernet protocols and an integrated web server. Complementary Liquistation/Liquiport samplers and Liquiline To Go handhelds let teams build mobile or fixed monitoring stations on the same platform.
