Endress+Hauser’s System products and Data Managers connect field instrumentation to control, IT, and cloud layers with hardened building blocks—making signals visible, actionable, and auditable. The portfolio spans data managers/recorders, process indicators and control units, power supplies and barriers, WirelessHART solutions, gateways and modems, device‑configuration tablets, energy/application managers, and surge arresters. The result is faster integration, higher availability, and safer operations across brownfield and greenfield plants.
For secure acquisition and visualization, the Memograph M RSG45 and Ecograph T RSG35 log, trend, and alarm process values with audit‑ready storage. RSG45 scales from local historian to “energy manager” with Ethernet/GSM options and math/telealarm packages; RSG35 offers up to 12 universal inputs with a clear 5.7" TFT for front‑line operators. Typical uses include utilities metering, environmental compliance, and skid diagnostics. An FDM “Essential” package supports SQL‑backed analysis.
Process indicators and control units put trustworthy numbers and basic logic where work happens. The loop‑powered RIA15 displays 4–20 mA or HART variables in the field—including Ex ia variants—without extra power. The 4‑wire RIA46 adds universal inputs, loop power for two‑wire sensors, relay/analog outputs, and interface options for conversion and simple control. The RMA42 process transmitter adds calculations (e.g., differential pressure), limit functions, and signal forwarding for panel or DIN‑rail builds.
Power supplies and barriers underpin reliability and intrinsic safety. The RN221N active barrier galvanically isolates and, when needed, powers 4–20 mA loops with optional HART transparency—ideal for separating Ex and non‑Ex zones. The modern RN Series adds SIL‑capable signal processing and conditioning modules for hazardous areas, while the RNB22 DIN‑rail supply provides a compact, high‑efficiency 24 V DC source with static/dynamic boost for cabinet loads.
WirelessHART solutions reduce wiring where access is costly or impossible. The SWA70 adapter makes any 4–20 mA/HART device a wireless node (battery or external power), while the SWG70 Fieldgate forms the secure mesh backbone and bridges to plant networks. Typical applications include tank/silo monitoring, utilities, and condition monitoring, with integration paths via Modbus, HART‑IP, OPC, and EtherNet/IP.
Gateways and modems open parallel access to devices and networks—without disturbing the control system. Fieldgate FXA42 brings remote monitoring (Ethernet/WLAN/cellular), a built‑in web server, data logging, and alarm handling for 4–20 mA/HART/Modbus assets. For PROFIBUS, Fieldgate SFG500 provides web‑based diagnostics and HART‑over‑PROFIBUS access for asset tools. Commubox FXA195/FXA291 connect HART or CDI devices directly to a PC via USB for commissioning and service.
Device‑configuration tablets accelerate commissioning and maintenance. Field Xpert SMT70 (Zone 2) and SMT77 (Zone 1) arrive with extensive pre‑installed DTM/EDD driver libraries and NAMUR NE 107 diagnostics, enabling touch‑driven setup, verification, and documentation across HART, PROFIBUS/PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus, and Bluetooth links. These tablets standardize workflows and reduce time to resolution in both hazardous and safe areas.
Energy and application managers turn raw signals into fiscal and process decisions. EngyCal RH33 (BTU) and RS33 (steam, IAPWS‑IF97) compute heat and steam mass/energy for billing, balancing, and efficiency KPIs; RA33 batch controller executes repeatable, compensated dosing; the RMC621 flow/energy manager handles gases, liquids, steam, and simultaneous channels. Surge arresters HAW562/HAW569 protect power, signal, and fieldbus lines, preserving uptime in lightning‑prone or electrically noisy environments.
