WirelessHART Solutions
Endress+Hauser WirelessHART Solutions extend secure, standards‑based wireless connectivity to new and existing HART® instruments so you can add points where wiring is costly or impossible. Self‑organizing mesh networks let you integrate moving, changing, and remote measurements quickly, delivering insight with minimal engineering effort. The offer combines retrofit adapters for any 2‑ or 4‑wire HART device with compact gateways that bridge the WirelessHART network to control systems and the cloud.
FieldPort SWA50 is a loop‑powered adapter that converts a device’s HART signal to encrypted Bluetooth® and/or WirelessHART for configuration, diagnostics and live values; it also links assets to Netilion via FieldEdge. FieldGate SWG50 is a DIN‑rail WirelessHART gateway that forms and manages the mesh and forwards data to host systems via Modbus TCP or HART‑IP—up to 100 devices. For long‑life, battery‑powered retrofits, the WirelessHART Adapter SWA70 adds wireless to 4–20 mA/HART loops and can connect up to four HART devices in multidrop. Predecessor options such as Fieldgate SWG70 provide Ethernet and RS‑485 interfaces, including Modbus and EtherNet/IP.
With E+H WirelessHART Solutions you gain visibility with almost no wiring changes—SWA50 is loop‑powered and does not affect the process signal, while encrypted links protect data in transit. Gateways auto‑commission self‑healing networks, expose device diagnostics to SCADA and asset tools, and provide a clean path to the Netilion cloud. SWG50’s compact form factor saves cabinet space and brings standardized protocols; compatibility with FieldEdge SGC500 streamlines cloud integration.
Typical applications: temporary or hard‑to‑cable points on rotating or moving machinery; wellheads and remote skids; tank/silo inventory; and reliability programs (valves, pumps, heat‑exchangers) where extra diagnostics reduce downtime. In regulated hygienic processes, bundles such as iTHERM TrustSens with SWA50 enable wireless access to self‑calibration status and documentation, reducing effort during verification. Plants favor WirelessHART when expansions are frequent, commissioning time is limited, or access is hazardous—because the network is self‑organizing and quick to deploy.
