Differential Pressure Flow
Continuous flow measurement with differential pressure transmitters.

Differential Pressure Flow Measurement
Endress+Hauser differential pressure (DP) flow pairs a primary element—orifice plate, Venturi, or pitot tube—with a Deltabar DP transmitter to convert ∆p into flow. The transmitter computes flow from the measured differential pressure, delivering continuous measurement in gases, vapors (steam) and liquids.
Benefits: a proven, universal method for standard and demanding duties, including high pressures and temperatures. Devices cover flow, level, and filter tasks and can ship with pre‑assembled, pressure‑tested valve blocks. Deltabar adds diagnostics (e.g., plugged impulse lines) and connectivity via HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS PA, PROFINET over Ethernet‑APL and optional Bluetooth®.
Typical uses span utility steam and energy monitoring, process gas lines, and general liquid services. DP flow is widely applied across chemical, oil & gas/marine, power, water & wastewater, mining, pulp & paper, food & beverage, and life sciences.
From primary elements to transmitters and manifolds, Endress+Hauser delivers reliable, ISO 5167‑based DP flow solutions engineered to your piping and process conditions.
