Differential Pressure Flow Measurement
Continuous flow measurement with differential pressure transmitters.
Differential Pressure Flow Measurement
Endress+Hauser differential pressure (DP) flow products pair proven primary elements—such as orifice plates, Venturi tubes and averaging pitot tubes—with Deltabar DP transmitters (including electronic DP systems) to compute volume or mass flow in gases, vapors and liquids.
They’re valued for robustness across demanding conditions, including high pressures and temperatures. Standards‑based elements deliver predictable results, while Deltabar transmitters add diagnostics and flexible outputs: 4–20 mA/HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS PA and PROFINET (Ethernet‑APL).
Typical uses include energy and utility measurement—steam, compressed air, nitrogen and fuel gases—water and heat circuits, and process liquid transfer. Because the transmitter calculates flow from the measured ΔP, DP solutions adapt readily to gases, vapors and liquids across plant utilities and process units.
The range spans Deltabar electronic DP systems FMD71/72 and DP transmitters PMD50, PMD55B, PMD75B and PMD78B, with material and diaphragm options for corrosive, high‑pressure or high‑temperature service, plus pre‑assembled valve blocks. Packages pair with orifice, Venturi or averaging pitot primaries and integrate with PLC/DCS.
