Multipoint Thermometers
Endress+Hauser iTHERM MultiSens multipoint thermometers deliver many temperature points through a single process connection, creating continuous profiles in reactors, tanks, and silos. Four designs: Flex (TMS01/02) with 3D‑bendable probes; Linear (TMS12) with a primary thermowell; Slim (TMS21) for minimally invasive retrofits; and Bundle (TMS31) on a rope or conduit. RTD or TC elements are available, including ProfileSens.
A dense profile from one nozzle improves control and safety while minimizing penetrations and installation effort. Designs suit harsh media and high duty. TMS12 adds a diagnostic chamber to contain and monitor potential seal leakages and supports long immersions—enabling predictive maintenance and higher availability.
Typical applications include high‑pressure and catalytic reactors in oil, gas, and petrochemical units; heavy chemical processes; and cryogenic LNG/LPG storage where stratification and rollover risk require vertical profiling. They’re also used on crude tanks and bulk silos where gradients indicate product quality or condition.
Selection guide: choose Flex (TMS01/02) for 3D routing, direct‑contact profiling, or use with/without thermowell. Select Linear (TMS12) when a robust main thermowell and leak‑diagnostic chamber are required. Pick Slim (TMS21) for minimal intrusiveness and fast response. Use Bundle (TMS31) for rope/conduit installations in vessels, tanks, and silos.
Standardized, engineered options simplify specification: with or without transmitters, with or without diagnostic chambers, and with RTD or TC sensors. Global configurability and project support speed integration, while one‑nozzle access reduces leak paths and maintenance plantwide.
