Endress+Hauser iTHERM FlameLine high‑temperature thermometers are thermocouple assemblies for extreme heat. The range includes TAF11 (ceramic thermowell), TAF12S/D/T (single/dual/triple ceramic tubes), and TAF16 (metal/alloy thermowell). Modular metric designs accept single/dual inserts and optional ceramic sheaths for continuous service to 1,700 °C.

Benefits include non‑porous ceramics and high‑grade alloys that resist abrasion, corrosion, and thermal shock for stable, long‑life measurement. Replaceable inserts/spares cut lifecycle cost; long immersion lengths and head transmitters ease engineering. Outputs include 4–20 mA, HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS PA and PROFINET over Ethernet‑APL.

Typical applications: cement kilns and preheaters, steel treatment/annealing, glass and porcelain firing, brickworks, incinerators and fluidized‑bed furnaces. Purpose‑built for hostile flue paths and radiant zones, they protect the sensor and help safeguard quality and plant safety.

Selection: choose ceramic (TAF11/TAF12x) for the harshest abrasive/corrosive gases and the highest temperatures; S/R/B thermocouples cover ~1,600–1,700 °C. Pick TAF16 where mechanical loads dominate and K/N ranges suffice. Match tube count (single/dual/triple) to protection vs. response needs.
